IPL 2025 Points Table, Top Batters, Top Bowlers, Team Rankings & Standing After IPL Today Match Update: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru got a semblance of revenge against the Punjab Kings in the return leg when they defeated the Shreyas Iyer-led team by 7 wickets. That must have felt sweet for the team which suffered a batting collapse at the Chinnaswamy about 3 days ago, losing the match by 5 wickets.
The win bumped RCB to 3rd position in the points table while Punjab moved one place down to 4th. Virat Kohli starred with a half century which helped him surpass David Warner’s record for the highest number of IPL fifties while Devdutt Padikkal smashed a blistering 35-ball 61 which helped RCB chase down the target in 18.5 overs.
Earlier, RCB spinners Spinners Krunal Pandya (2/25) and Suyash Sharma (2/26) shared four wickets between them as Punjab struggled to build momentum with RCB striking at regular intervals. Their top scorer was Prabhsimran Singh who scored a breezy 17-ball 33 while a rearguard 31 by Shashank Singh helped them post 157.
In the Orange Cap race, Lucknow Super Giants’ batter Nicholas Pooran is on top of the standings, followed by GT’s Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler in 2nd and 3rd. RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal is 4th while LSG’s Mitchell Marsh rounds off the Top 5 in 5th.
In the Purple Cap race, GT’s Prasidh Krishna rules the roost with 14 wickets, followed by Delhi Capitals’ Kuldeep Yadav with 12. They are followed by CSK’s Noor Ahmad at 3rd, RCB’s Josh Hazlewood in 4th and LSG’s Sai Kishore in the 5th position
